Delete your account

Deleting your account removes everything Knock stores about you. It cannot be undone.

How to delete it

Deleting an account is not in the app yet. Until it is, write to us and tell us your Knock username. Before we delete anything we make sure the account is really yours, so we may ask you a question or two. We delete the account as soon as we can, within 30 days at the latest, and tell you when it is done.

What is deleted

Everything Knock stores about you:

• your Apple sign-in, and the email address if Apple passed one on
• your first name, username and profile photo
• all your photos, the answers and the ones in your Museum
• your chats: the messages you wrote and the ones friends wrote to you
• your reactions
• your friends, friend requests and invitations
• your knocks
• your iPhone's push token

What we cannot delete

A photo or a message that a friend has already received may still be on their phone. We cannot recall that copy, and we cannot undo a screenshot.

Supabase, which stores Knock's data, makes daily backups. A backup may still hold deleted data until that backup is itself removed.
